Hi, I'm Lindsey! I'm so glad you stopped by.
I have always been drawn to hand crafts, as a teenager I learned how to cross stitch and embroider, and I learned some basics of knitting. I started quilting early 2005 when my mother-in-law signed me up for a Block of the Month program at a local quilt shop. I was immediately hooked, and shortly afterwards got a job at that same quilt shop. My love for the art has only grown since then.
I previously blogged at happierthanabirdquilts.com, but in 2014 I realized I needed a big overhaul on where all of my energy and time were focused, so I closed it down, and I turned my attention to the joys here at home. In an effort to slow down and enjoy my projects more, I turned my attention back to cross stitching, and early in 2016 I taught myself to crochet - it has definitely stolen my creative heart. Now, as 2017 rolls in, I find myself being drawn back to quilting, and wanting to share with the world again.
I'm married to my best friend and mom of 2 amazing girls. We have a pretty little parakeet named Pond (#doctorwhonerd).
P.S. If you'd like to see some of my work, check out my Flickr feed. It hasn't been updated since I stopped blogging, but you can see many many pretty quilts. =)
